Breath and Mind are Connected
The breath reflects our state of mind. Every emotion
produces a particular pattern of breath.  When we are
tense the breath is shallow and we hold our breath.  
When we are peaceful, the breath is smooth and deep.
Because of this connection, the breath can be used to
affect the mind.

The Nature of Mind
Living with a peaceful mind and joyful heart is everyone's birthright. Accumulated stress
and anxiety reduce the quality of life. A better understanding of the mind and a method
to quiet thoughts and dissolve stress can transform life.

The mind tends to focus more on the past and future than the present. Anger and
regret are connected to the past.  Worry and anxiety are always about the future.  

Using the breath skillfully calms anxiety & emotions and brings awareness to the
present moment.  When we are present we are happier, clearer and more authentic
and connected with others.  With greater awareness the influence of ego is diminished,
reducing negative emotional reactions.

Sudarshan Kriya
the heart of the Art of Living Workshop

    Sudarshan Kriya is a unique rhythmic breathing meditation. The
    practice calms the mind and releases stress, tension & negative
    emotions.  It is highly effective on its own and also enhances the
    benefits of other practices.

    Used daily, the mind becomes less busy and better able to focus.  
    Energy increases and health improves.  The calm created in the
mind by Sudarshan Kriya sets the stage for deep, silent meditation when practiced
immediately afterward.
