The quality of our life depends upon the state of our mind, yet we
are not taught how to release the stress and negative emotions
that accumulate in us.
For thousands of years Eastern study focused on natural skills to

Assistance for disaster relief has been provided

THE FOUNDATION
The Art of Living Foundation is a global, nonprofit organization with chapters
in 146 countries. As a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) of the United
Nations, we participate in a variety of international activities relating to health
and conflict resolution. We also conduct educational and humanitarian
programs in partnership with the International Association of Human Values
(IAHV).
UPLIFTING THE INDIVIDUAL
The pressures of modern life chronically activate the stress response which
harms physical and mental health in many ways. Everyone is affected by
stress to some degree. More than 1 in 4 take medication for depression or
anxiety. Decades of research have linked stress to everything from heart
attack and stroke to diabetes and a weakened immune system. Stressed
individuals increase conflict and suffering at every level of life.
The Art of Living offers simple and effective practices that
alleviate the effects of stress and increase joy, enthusiasm
and peace of mind. These practices are taught in a variety of
workshops to individuals, corporations, schools,
prisons, hospitals, and the military.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Volunteer service projects are an integral part of the Art of Living mission.
Serving others is not only an expression of love, but a source of joy.
The Foundation has brought service programs, trauma relief, and peace
initiatives to tens of thousands of people in places of raging conflict, inner
cities, prisons, and to areas devastated by war and natural disaster.
At a tsunami site a few weeks after the disaster, the BBC reported that the
only people able to smile were those who had taken the Art of Living
program. Research on those participants indicated that Post-Traumatic Stress
Disorder was relieved in one day of practice. Other research has indicated
that Vietnam War veterans found relief from 30 years of PTSD after taking an
18 hour Art of Living Course.

Free Training to Introduce Breath-work
Any group or business is welcome to request an Art of Living instructor to conduct a free training where breathing techniques will be taught.
In just a couple of hours participants will learn how to practice some simple techniques that can bring immediate relief from stress and tension, improve sleep, and energize and purify the system.
Advanced training is available from a comprehensive workshop known as The Art of Living Course.
